The BIG ONE. Game 7 - Spurs at Clippers...Mammoth Playoff Style WRITE-UP capped right here!!!
Boy, I what an idiotic theory...![]()

Scal you won but I wouldn't be bragging to much you barely won by 1/2 a point.
Excuse me. No one is bragging about anything. I'm defending a win when the scum of covers comes in a winning thread and actually try to play it off as a loss.
I said this game would be close innumerable times.
Read my responses and who I'm responding to.

Do you even know when my last posted loss was???![]()
Please give me the date on that one. And then after you do, post all the winning threads in addition...and then shut the fu** up.
See the scum rises to the top on covers even with wins.
If you don't get an ABSOLUTE BLOWOUT WINNER (to quote Steve Stevens, another scumbag) ya got lucky, or, you should be humbled. Even when, it was said time and time and time again, this game would be close.
Yet these same coc*su**ers would be here to say "Another long-winded wasted write-up, all for a loss", if it lost by .5, giving you nothing in terms of how close a loss was.
Ya can't make it up.

"Clippers will fall" "Spurs are going to win this game"
Lucky. Interesting. I love how you make it look like the Clips were leading by 5 and the Spurs nailed a meaningless three to get within the spread with no time left.
The Spurs lost the game with one second left on a circus shot from a guy's hip and never were outside the 2.5 the entire quarter, a quarter the Spurs lead the overwhelming majority of the time.
This post of course ignores post #25 where I said:

And to say my write-up is invalidated because I post 2.5 points in a nip and tuck series? Please. When books hand you points you take them. If you play a +2.5/3/3.5 and even 4 point spread to get within the number, you will be a failure the overwhelming majority of the time. You better have those games capped to WIN as I do here. I'm just taking what turned into a 2.5 pt line this morning. The books are handing it to me. My hands are out. You make whatever bet you like. |
Do you even know how to cap? (The answer if of course "Fu** no!") Do you really think, in a game with a spread of 2.5, I am going to write-up a game where you actually try to defend getting within 2.5 points?
You cap the game to win and you take the insurance that the public created as they drove this line to close at 3 in some places if it comes down to the last shot which of course it could. And the insurance paid off in a series where goaltending to end games actually decided them.
Now Fu** off.

It's "savor."
Nobody cares about how close you win or lose; they only care about whether the end result is a win or a loss.
The end result was a win.
This was a difficult game to predict. I think scal touched up on that, but he felt comfortable with the points. And the points came through. If he felt sure that the Spurs would win, I'm sure he would've recommended the ML on Spurs.

I don't think you can pound any series line! If he misses game one, how confident are you he will be 100% and playing in game 2? It throws everything off. I would have loved to cap this game one at an opening line of 3ish but now at 6/6.5 with Paul not even out, but 'doubtful' (leaving the door open for another limping Paul to amp up his teammates), I'm left questing too much right now.

I am not bagging on Scal I just feel he is shoving his victory a bit too much.

A win is a win. Everyone who bet this spread either only won by 0.5-1 or lost 0.5-1. Haters.

I'm already in NFL mode, buddy. I'm evaluating the draft and am strengthening my statistical angles by doing some historic research. Already opened a thread for a situational spot in week one. Cannot wait for the season to start. Still four months.

You won this bet fair and square. No need to talk about winning by a hook or not - Spurs were covering the whole game.
I can't wait for NFL to start. Lots of handicappers to fade. Too bad LeagueCapper is no longer around. Tripled my bankroll fading him day in day out.

Also recall, last year it was a similar situation against OKC. Clippers coming off a big game 7 win after the Sterling scandal and many of us thought that OKC would wax them that 1st game but the exact opposite happened. If Paul had not gotten hurt I was ready to back the Clippers in game 1 (because of what they did last year, which was almost as tough as what they just went through, maybe more).
True true, but with Paul 'out', teasing Houston down is the only option at this point for me. I'll just leave the teaser open.
Paul being out for Game 1 makes his performance in Game 7 that much more legendary.
@ Suuma - wow!!! I just checked. A thread on the 2015 Jets! Highly interested. I'll give it a read!
@fade - I'm sure you feel real bad about LC. You're part of the reason he isn't here anymore.
