So what did come first: the Chicken or the Egg? (No, serious...I'm curious)
Thanks Sarah for making that comment. Amazing 1-2 for the night with 3 pending would bring such negativity.
Bodio, I've tailed all your NCAAB and NBA picks in the last 10 days. Thanks for the hard work. I appreciate you helping me dig out of my hole that I was in>>>over $1K down 10 days ago..now ahead at $100/play. And after 9 days w/o a REALLY bad night, if we happen to lose the next 4, I've been gambling long enough to know that those days come. But 60% over 200 picks is just about as SOLID as you can get and speaks for itself.
Once again, thanks for the hard work and picks!

I see 3-2 with Denver play, quit your bitching people!!! And even if he went 0-6 shut the hell up no one told you to tail him thats your choice. Be thankful he takes his own time to help benifit us and not himself.
BODIO!!!

So the CHICKEN and the EGG are laying in bed together...The CHICKEN rolls over and lights a cigarette. With a very satisfied look the Chicken looks at the EGG and says "Well i guess that settels that."

This is by far the best argument I've ever seen as to why the Chicken came first lol..

Like I’ve mentioned in yesterday’s analysis of the Bulls/Hawks game, Atlanta is horrible against ‘quality’ opponents (by quality I mean teams above .500). They’re 5-12 ATS in their last 17 in such games. Philly, on the other hand, is 18-12 ATS against ‘quality’ competition, 21-12 ATS at home, and most importantly, they are 4-0 ATS against the Hawks in their last 4 meetings. I know this is Philly’s first game off a road-trip, but they had 3 days off to get acclimated and prepare for this one. In addition, it gave Iguodala and Brand time o get healthy and rest-up for this one. The fact that the Sixers are 1-2 against the Hawks this year should be enough motivation for this team to play really well tonight. They lost the first meeting in ATL by only 3 points, where Jason Kapono was the starter for them (go figure) and Hawks shot 51% to Sixers’ 41% from the field. They lost the 2nd meeting by 5 points, at home. And then last time out, the Sixers blew-out the Hawks by outshooting them 54% to 41% from the field, but even more importantly, outrebounding them 50 to 35. Hmmm. If you remember yesterday’s analysis, I’ve talked how important rebounding is in games involving Atlanta. Hortford didn’t play in that last meeting, and he’s listed as questionable tonight as well. I expect him to suit up, but even so I like this rested Sixers squad to out-work and out-rebound the ATLteam, which is playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, and is coming off a demoralizing loss to the ‘BEST TEAM IN THE EAST’ (wow that feels good to say being a Bulls fan!). I know Philly has a game @ MIA in a few days, but as poorly as ATL has played against ‘quality’ opponents I believe that factor to be fairly insignificant here. Bottom line: I’m probably looking to ‘fade’ Atlanta against every “winning” team they’ll face through the end of this season. And it started last night!
Fellas, I want to apologize to everyone that played this game based on my recommendation. I'm actually very upset about this one. I made some really basic mistakes handicapping this game, which I highlighted above.
#1: Team is coming off a prolonged road-trip playing first game at home. Sometimes those teams come out a bit sluggish. I mentioned that in the write-up but did NOT consider it enough.
#2: Look-ahead spot. Another factor that I've mentioned but disregarded. Combine that with #1 and we have an even stronger situation that requires added attention.
#3: 'Playoff' team coming off an embarrassing performance. Yes, Atlanta has been playing poorly against 'quality' opponents, but they are still a 'playoff squad'. These teams tend to play with extra effort and motivation, following 'blow-out' games. Another factor that I've mentioned but analyzed it completely incorrectly.
#4: Number four factor wasn't listed. That was the over-valued # on this game. Last game, Atlanta were -3.5 favorites at home. With SA, they should be +2.5 on the road. Accounting for b2b, maybe +3.5 They were +6.5/+7. There was NO 'line-value' on them at all, as they were actually very UNDER-valued. How did I miss this????
In any case, I'm just really pissed about shit capping off this game. I can't believe I made it a PLAY. Need to learn from this!
Hopefully Nuggz could take care of business for us.
Talk to you all later!

Wow, name me another capper on any forum who is as humble as this guy is. He spends hours and hours capping these games and then shows class once again by explaining his own faults in capping this game. Bodio, I appreciate everything you do for all of us, especially us rookie cappers and I feel like I'm learning from one of the greatest. Please don't ever leave Covers!!! Oh ya, did I mention that I'm excited for MLB knowing that you will be posting every day. Keep it up brother!
