I want so badly to see the Rockets win Game 7 tonight so that Coach Kerr can become only the second NBA head coach to blow more than one 3-1 playoff series lead. But, I fear (and frankly expect) that the young Rockets - though they currently have 'em where they want 'em - are gonna shrink under the Game 7 glare and let 'em off the hook.

I won't be surprised to see the Knicks get off to a strong start in their series opener on Monday night in Boston because of how the 1st round unfolded for both teams. The defending NBA champion Celtics sleptwalk through significant portions of their brief 5-game series against the Orlando Magic. They didn't bother trying hard in the 1st half of any of their three home games. They turned it on after halftime and got away with playing hard for only 24 minutes in Games 1, 2, and 5.
I don't like that. That's not good for them. Those kinds of results lead to bad habits. Now they'll welcome in the Knicks, whom they swept in the regular season, beating them by scores of 132-109, 131-104, and 118-105 before the Knicks finally gave them a game a month ago but still lost in overtime.
While the Celtics went unchallenged in the 1st round, it felt like the Knicks were pushed to their limit in every game against the Pistons. The final four games were decided by 2, 1, 3, and 3 points. The Knicks were beaten twice on their home court but went 3-0 on the road. Both the Knicks and Pistons emerged from that difficult series as better, tougher, more battle-tested teams. The difference is that the Knicks get to keep going. Does anyone think the Knicks will be intimidated by the atmosphere at TD Garden? Does anyone think that the Celtics, who learned no lessons from playing at half speed half the time against Orlando, will decide that the Knicks deserve their attention for all 48 minutes? After they went 4-0 against the Knicks this season and beat them by an average of 16 points per game?

It's an opinion based on history and probabilties which I took the time to explain the reason I like it.
No one's sure of anything buddy it's called gambling thanks for nothing .
I apologize Silverstones. I thought this was a discussion forum but I guess it's something else. We are not to debate, exchange views, or question anything. Got it.

I posted my bets and gave my reasoning your response was ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT ? That's not someone looking to exchange opionions that's just being a negative prick .
Why would the Knicks or any other NBA team be intimidated by the TD Garden their all pro's they've played everywhere , the Knicks will lose cause the Celtic's are a better team and have the Knicks number.
Show your Knicks ML Ticket.

Buddy, you're basically talking to the MJ of the forum. Slow your roll there.
And I don't think his post was anything out the ordinary. Every post here has a pick. Then the comments either say "on them as well, let's get it!" or "On the opposite side tonight, I think X X X."
Nothing disrespectful about that. Just exchanging ideas.
And even if he was truly challenging you, have some self confidence to stand by your pick and be like yeah, from what I've seen or in my opinion yatta yatta. Do you only post here to get words of affirmation about your plays? You don't think anyone else disagrees?
P.S. Thanks Bator. Cuz of you I had Winnipeg in games 2 and 5.

Any team can lose if they play stupid. Celtics missed 45. 3 point shots they only attempted 1 two point in the entire 3rd Quarter.
Celtics had a 20 point lead bulit on going inside and had Knicks in foul trouble instead of continuing this Celtics jacked up 60 3's and missed 45 of them.and still only lost by 3.
When I made those parlay bets OKC wasn't available or I would have used them instead of C's cause I know Tatum can be stupid and lose a game
Horrible coaching this lose is on Mazzulla .
