Joe Crawford very road friendly. Callahan & Washington end up balancing him out as both of them are home team friendly.

In all 3 games who ever got the calls won the game. Or as i like to point out when ever Miami doesn't get the calls they lose the game. Only game 2 & 3 did the refs stats resulted accordingly. Game 1 whent the opposite way of the ref stats. So it may seem the refs are becoming more a factor as this series moves on. More importantly the stats provided on covers have determined the outcome for the last 2 games.

The thing here is.......is it too obvious to take Miami considering they bring in both Joe Crawford & Callahan, 2 refs known for giving Miami alot of love, after that loss in game 3 on their first game back at home??? Isn't that too obvious to take Miami w/ these 2 refs who are known for saving the Heat after a loss? It reminds me of last years finals when Both Crawford & Callahan were given the assignment for game 6 - the game where Spurs were almost about to take the title. You'd think they would have made it a little bit more easier for Miami to win considering they lost game 5 and have been sent to save Miami??!!??......or were they really? maybe it was a decoy-type move by the league. After all spurs still covered in that game (+6.5). Perhaps this is the same situation.......or just the regular formality to extend the series.

I'm still yet to make a play. Especially since i'm not sure if i should consider the stats for 0-4.5 or 5.9.5

Yup, to me that was formality to extend series. but they were later sent to game 6 after Miami lost game 5, in what looked like a game they were supposed to save Miami in but they almost lost & Spurs  covered. Usually it would be an easy victory if the heat were 'supposed' to win like all the other scenarios, instead it took a lucky shot in the final seconds saving them from the brink of elimination.

But it is still early only 3 games into the series. this could be another attempt to extend the series............

Nice outlook 3ball -- I would not be surprised by a Heat win and Spurs cover.  But I also would not be surprised by a blowout -- maybe this is a good one to live bet?  It is worth noting the OT prop is the cheapest it has been all series today.

if i were smart i'd sit this out entirely but you know we gotta have some action.

Everybody is expecting a big Miami bounce back - like they usually do. & w/ Crawford & Callahan adding extra incentive to back Miami in this spot yet again. Could easily be a trap.


One thing though, Spurs obviously got most of the calls in game 3, a Pivotal game! One that holds statistical significance in the history of finals games. Why? Why did they allow spurs to receive the calls wich resulted in a victory in a pivotal game? To extend the series? to insure a championship moving forward? has to be either one. But usually when one team gets all the calls the following game it's the other teams turn to get that ref love. The obvious play is Miami here......but for some reason i'm just not convinced just yet.

the stats i use aren't extensive or elaborate. Most stats can be found on covers match up section & other stats is just merely looking back @ past games throughout the years.

Games following 19 point win/loss aren't much help considering Spurs are 10-3 and Heat are 2-0. Cant see Heat lose 2 at home and win 1 at Spurs game 5. I say Heat game 4 and Spurs next 2.

As much as i'd like to think Crawford & Callahan have been sent to save the Heat & formality to extend the series it just seems too obvious. Reminds me of game 6 in last years finals. I'm sticking to Spurs in 6 & sticking to 'The shorter the series the better for Spurs' agenda wich further supports the play today.......

I really was not too confident in backing Spurs for this game. I whent my gut & instincts. So i really did not expect for them to be up by this much at half time. Seeing this now though do you really think Pop wants his squad to take their foot off the gas? After last years game 6, that bad taste fresh still in their mouths and knowing last game that Miami made a run in the 3Q - Spurs will go full throttle & throw the kitchen sink & plumbing attached. They smell blood & will give it 500% in the 2nd half.

I used to have a tough time w/ playoffs too. I used to determine plays based solely on match ups, players, motivation etc. not putting into account league agenda's & officiating. When you decide to come away from thinking this league is legit you have a better time capping as you start to get into a different mind set & become a little more wiser knowing the league does have an agenda. The basic is they always want to extend series but over all they also have a winner in mind - this year is the Spurs. I'm not saying they will win it (not until this is all over. But they are my pick since March.

It feels great. picking winners the way i have been is very similar to reading/calling hands in poker to the exact suit & color & then betting accordingly.......you do feel like God

It was a decoy move by the league. Really slipped a mickey on the poor suspecting public. Same move they pulled in game 6 last year. I got them though


I'm currently on a 45-8 run - that's 85% & only 1 losing day through that run. I'm 15-0 after that losing day. What's the longest streak on covers? Perhaps this is the best? I wish these playoffs could last forever. I feel i could pick it apart all day

I've yet to back Miami in this series, obviously how could i start now. so leaning Spurs for game 5. But if i see both Foster & Mauer (gm1 refs) assigned to this game i may have to reconsider. We'll see in about 2.5 hrs once ref assignment is released.
