Guys I'll be at the game tomorrow. Blazers are 23-1 SU at home when I go to games. I also have seen them go 4-0 SU against the Lakers all in the Garden. These stats mean just as little as the 7-21 ats i've from the lakers in the last 28 and the 22-5 ats i've seen from the underdog in the last 27. 27 games ago shaq was on the lakers... and the blazers were still sobbing over their choke in the western conference finals. History doesn't mean much past 2 years ago.
What you need to consider is the Lakers outplayed them substantially in LA both meetings this year and that was with Oden. I know there are a lot of haters who say Oden is a bust, well you're wrong. We all know stat sheets only cover so much but what Oden excels in doesn't have a spot under the stat sheet. His presence down low that causes driving guards to kick out and run the shot clock down isn't on the stat sheet. Channing Frye is sharing minues with Pryzbilla because of the Oden injury and is no match for any player on the Lakers.
The Blazers have looked good at home. They play up against good teams at home- beating Boston, Denver, Houston, Phoenix, etc. Playing down and barely beating bad teams at home- Indiana, Minnesota, losing to the Clippers in overtime.
Both teams are up and down. You never know what Lakers team you're going to see. If they're going to win by 20 or by 2 after a 2nd half hold. Blazers are the same way, do they shoot well or do they lose the first half by 10 just to come back and win the game by 1 on a last second shot by Roy?
For tomorrow's game i thought it would be a pk, or a Blazers -1.5. However the Lakers are -2 and I'm not sure what to think. I think that the Lakers will jump out to a 7-11 point lead by the half where my Lakers -2 line will look good. If I feel the Blazers are playing well enough to come back with some energy out of Jerryd Bayless I'll call in a 2nd half Blazers bet and hope for a middle. However I see the Lakers with a strong 4th quarter holding off the Blazers. Lakers 109 Blazers 100.

scsieigel - and yes I do heckle players from time to time Garnett hates it the most by far
When I was younger, I went to alot of Pacers games with my dad. This was when they had Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller, the Davis brothers, Rick Smits, Derrick McKey... etc. Basically, before Ron Artest came along. lol. Anyways, I had seats right behind the opposing bench and I loved heckling the players at the foul line. One game the Cavs came into town. This is when they had aquired Clarence Weatherspoon, after he was released by the Heat the year before. I hated this guy with a passion. He was the worst player ever on the Heat. He was part of the reason the Heat always choked to the Knicks in the 90s. Anyways, I screamed at him so loud one time at the foul line, he clearly heard every word that I said and gave me the nastiest look ever and I truly thought he was going to rush up and kill me! Luckily, he just took the next free-throw.

haha clarence weatherspon, what a tool. that's basically what happened with me and garnett. he was still on minnesota and the blazers were up one with ten seconds to go, three or so years ago. Minny had the ball in a time out and I said something I probably shouldn't say to KG and he gave me a bunch of scary looks from the huddle. He then hit a 20 footer to put them up one, and I got a wink and a stare as he came back to the huddle for the blazers time out. Well after that Juan Dixon hit the winning three right infront of the t'wolves bench and my seats which gave us the win. Man I would not want to get in a fight with KG, that's some scary shit.

haha you're from oregon as well? yeah trust me the entire state hates me for this write up. Think of it this way. I cheer, hammered at courtside if the blazers win and so what I got the seats for free, the money I put on the game it's like i bought the tickets. If the Lakers win then it's like getting paid to watch the blazers lose. seems almost like a win/win
