umm he ALWAYS sucked, their was a reason, two teams cut him and there is a reason y nobody can sustain what he did for a FULL season, and nobody will put up those numbers because it is STUPID TO GO BALLS OUT YOUR FIRST 10 STARTS, good and great players know its a marathon and not a race, they pace them selves to make a PLAYOFF RUN, not to get back to .500
it was great run but I have always said, what happens before all-star game is all pretty much irrelavent.
look at the super hyped xmas games, the winner of those games have nothing to do with what will happen in the future after all-star.

Who cares if lin only had 1 TO n 3 steals n 20 points, he will be the first one to tell u that those numbers dont MEAN SHIT IF YOU DONT WIN THE GAME.
No one really cared when he had 6+ TO's the games he won during his cinderella run. and by hilemans argument that he is only going to get better, which is probably true because if u continue getting WORSE from 6+ TOs a game, you probably will lose the starting gig so he has to get better BUT when he did get better, like u mentioned 1 TO with 3 steals, he LOST the game.
Like what happyshine said, basketball is a TEAM game. You win as a team and you lose as a team BUT the burden goes soley on the PG, who is supposed to be the coach on the floor or the floor general or whatever leadership role u want to call his position.
Lin needs to figure out how to WIN as a team not by his 'I am at my best when I run the pick n roll all day with amare shit' cuz guess what? the team called the phoenix suns tried that, being the highest scoring team for multiple seasons until they realized they dont play D and they couldnt even get to the finals and they HAD STEVE NASH with AMARE.
IF Lin goes to another team, he is toast, and eventually just be a marketing tool to draw the asian community in to whatever team he ends up in, absolutely NOT going to be a star and going to be tough to be full time starter in this league if he moves teams.
BTW, if you really think NY will trade melo before LIN, or build this NY team around LIN then you really don't know basketball. No matter what the attitude a HEALTHY melo will always be a franchise player, Jeremy Lin NOT A FRANCHISE PLAYER and he better be healthy because a 75% jeremy lin becomes real useless...
NY needs to figure out how to be better as a team and it just aint happening this season, next season? maybe but I would wait another one for the knicks to be back up winning close to 50 games in the very top heavy east
