We all know the discussion about game 1...taking that many 3's as you lose the lead instead of attacking the rim a couple times...coaching needs to step in and tell them to abandon the 3 for a little bit. Fail.
Game 2, in the same situation, and no timeout to calm the team down during the comeback and nobody tells the players to attack the rim on the entire C's staff!?! Tatum got the ball at one point in the corner with no defender in front of him except for Brunson, WHO WAS ON THE GROUND, and he elected for a 3 instead of an easy dunk/layup?? Then to have a time out with 10+ seconds left, not use it, and just let Tatum go 1 on 1 and lose it!
2 games with too many 3's, no coaching timeouts to calm team down/set up a play, and no shot at the end of either game even attempted!!?? Complete failure by the coaching staff. If they lose this series, Mazzulla has to go. Maybe he thinks his praying is going to help or something. Just horrendous coaching.
Sure, the C's will be favored the rest of the series but 1 more bad game and they are done. Yes, if the 3's start to fall at even a slightly higher %, or if they don't miss multiple layups, they get wins in the 1st 2 games but the play calling and coaching was just atrocious. I'd love to see this get tied up in NY and make it a 3 game series but it's not looking good.
Tatum must be injured because there were multiple times during the game where he didn't even get involved in the offense. Any why does Brown think he can dribble by anyone...he constantly turns the ball over!!!
