Surely they are close. What have they done since Shaq left in 1996? The Howard era they weren't too bad.. but they didn't reach any great heights and it was again short lived. They have been rubbish since 1996! That's 23 years of mediocrity. And let me define mediocrity... They don't do what Philly did or what The Hornets will probably do now and bottom out.. clear cap space and reload. They literally stay a middle of the road team with average players eternally! I don't know how the people that own and operate that team can allow these people in charge of player recruitment to keep their jobs.
If they kept Oladipo, Harris and Ibaka and add another start they are a play off bound team. Instead they keep trash players for the past 23 years and let the good ones go?
And yes.. I bet and lost on them. Just venting my frustration with this team. Mediocre since 96.... no other team is run this poorly in my opinion. Even teams like the Kings and Suns have had more success than this garbage.
