There will always, always, always be bonehead stupid basketball teams at all levels of competition who will decide late in games to abandon everything that helped them build a large lead in favor of trying to kill the clock like big wussies. The Oklahoma City Thunder just joined a very large group of unsuccessful clock milkers. Boy, I bet they feel like real dumbasses right about now, and they should.

I don't know if there is anything Brooks could have done, but it's been a long while since I've seen a team come completely unraveled on such a big stage. The announcers were pounding the issue of Harden fouling out, but lets get real; it's James Harden, not Wilt Chamberlain. The loss of Harden didn't make them forget how to drive the basketball, get it down low, or get to the foul line. You have to get to the line down the stretch, protecting a lead at home, in the playoffs. Durant may have gotten a whistle when Marion blocked his late three had he not been heaving garbage from 30 feet the last 10 minutes. Durant's frustration turned him into a walking zombie at the end and in overtime, leaving the Thunder in shambles beings their other "leader" (Westbrook) doesn't have the mental capacity to close out a game of Candy-Land with his daughter. On a side note, Dirk is the most phenomenal offensive talent I've ever seen in the NBA.

It's not Westbrook's fault OKC lost. He's not a jump-shooter, which is the role DAL forced him into late in regulation and OT.
No, it's the role he put himself in. Nobody can pretend a point guard isn't at fault when he takes bad jump shots, especially when you have someone like KD on your team, throw it to Durant and make your superstar make the tough shots or throw it inside. Westbrook holding on to the ball too long and taking bad shots is 100% on him

This is true.
Honestly, last night is the reason why I bet underdogs 95% of the time if I am betting ATS.
I want to win by the moose and not die by the moose.
