I am really behind in watching some of these movies, but I saw this last night for the first time. Didn't think it was all that funny. It had a few funny scenes (like when Dupree looks at all of the faculty staff walking by to see if Mandy had slept with them), but all in all it was an okay movie.

By the way, does anybody know why they never actually showed Mandy during the movie? That was the first thing I thought of afterwards.

I don't think I bothered to find out because it sucked so bad.  I wanted to like it too, but it was really nothing special at all

this whole generation of "comedic" actors are all awful

both wilsons, ben stiller, will ferrell

the only one who is likable is vince vaughn (Swingers will always be his best work)...the rest are hacks when you compare to early mid 80s, bill murray, steve martin, eddie murphy, dan aykroyd...its not even close

I watched 20 mins of the last half an hour of this lame ass movie tonight to check a little bit of it out for the first time ever.

I'm not joking, but I hit the "last" button on my remote 3 times during that period when my girlfriend would walk through the room, because I felt embarrassment for watching such completely ignorant crap knowing that their were other channels that worked.

Hey Koaj, Vince was pretty funny in the sequel to "Get Shorty" titled "Be Cool".

If you haven't seen it, and without super high expectations, you should check his performance out in it. He's a bright spot in that flick IMO.
