Yes, Mickey Rooney is alive and it's his B'Day

Mr. Rooney is a great talent and many here will never watch a second of his movies but  he had a admirable career.  Started as a child actor and developed into a very good dramatic actor .  Never did anything but entertain. When he was on the screen you had to watch him. I'm always amazed by young actors and their talent but this guy was special.  From "Andy Hardy" to "Boys Town" to "Requiem for a Heavy Weight". this guy was a super talent.  He also either married or screwed every hot chick in Hollywood. Kudos for that.

From "Andy Hardy" to "Boys Town" to "Requiem for a Heavy Weight".

probably Rooney's best serious roll ever as the fight trainer "Army" with Anthony Quinn as fighter "Mountain" Rivera and Jackie Gleason as his manager Maish Rennick.

Gleason should have at least been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award esp as I don't think that years field was that strong

btw, HOW many TIMES was Rooney married and divorced?

Rat,   I think around 8 marriages and not sure what his status is now.  If Mickey had anything left you know he'd be out there messing with Leno.  Great talent for decades and one of the few left from that era.
