The Cincinnati Kid with Steve McQueen
and people like to make fun of me for this, but i kinda like Maverick with Mel Gibson.
other movies that have gambling but aren't necessarily all about gambling that are good:
Lock Stock and two smoking barrels
Casablanca
The Lady Eve
The Man with the Golden Arm

I don't know if "the sting" with paul newman counts but that was a pretty cool movie.
Also, I know its a little
but I always thought "maverick" was cool.
but I always thought "maverick" was cool. The final tourny when "a good run of bad luck" is playing is always fun to watch.
Though I always thought that it was funny when he hits the royal flush at the end and holds up the last card, that no one in the audience could see it when it was obviously in plain view....then he throws it into the middle and everyone is like, "whhhhoooooooaaaa!!!!"
there are two great quotes in it:
when the colonel says, "ive got two pair....eights....and eights."
and when mel gibson won't look at the last card and the one dude goes, "look at your goddamn card!"
I always quote that one when I'm playing but no one ever gets it.
