watched "1408" last night.......

watched the movie "1408" last night on one of the premium movie channels just because there was really nothing on after the hockey games were over. having seen the trailers I though it was going to be a "10 minutes and switch to something else" BUT it was actually VERY suspenseful with a lot of plot twists. I thought John Cusack did a good job in what was a virtual one man show.

worth watching IF your into "Poltergeist" or Steven King style suspense stories.

My girlfriend got so nervous, she had to leave the theatre. . .  I thought it was pretty decent as well.  Made me feel claustrophobic.

I wouldn't say it was the greatest or anything, but if you're a suspense/horror fan, I'd say give it a shot.  It's better than most the shit that's come out in the last few years in that genre.

typical stephen king

I would agree. much more thoughtful than your average "slasher" horror flik. interesting plot twists.

I actually had an opposite opinion after seeing it.  Found it not all that suspenseful and would rate it pretty low.  I guess I was expecting much better from what I saw of the preview of that movie.
