The Shield's creator Shawn Ryan said he might consider a movie if the material for it arose but with the way the series ended on tv it's hard to see how.
Unless they do some kind of prequel before they all came together in the barn, similar to the episode in season 2 'Co-Pilot' which showed how it all started,it could show Vic when he was partnered with Joe Clark and show how they used to work back in the day. There's probably not too many characters that could be written into this script, maybe Vendrell,Gilroy and a couple of the minor characters from the show.
I actually think that the Co-Pilot episode would have been the perfect storyline for the movie just if it was a little more developed but since it was made into an episode it couldn't be done now.
