Valkyrie review

Saw it last night and loved it. It starts out a little slow but it really picks up. It keep me on the edge of my seat the whoel time. The story is great and I thought Tom Cruise did a great job. Only thing i didnt like is that the only person who spoke with a german accent was Hitler. It was weird watching a movie about Germany and everybody is speaking with an American accent. Overall i would recommend to everyone that they go and see it.

 Why didnt the Nazis have on the real Nazi uniforms. Didnt they all used to wear big swastika armbands. 

 

haven't seen this movie BUT the normal Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine uniforms during WWII didn't include the swastika armband unless the organization was a Nazi party functionary like the black uniformed Schutzstaffel (SS) "Protection Service" or the brown uniformed Sturmabteilung (SA) "Storm Division" (aka Storm Troopers).

In this link it has senior officers w/the armband, 

i havent seen the movie yet, but I will refuse to do so,

if someone decided that history was too harsh for

a movie, and chose to be politically correct rather than

historically accurate.

 

something about the nazi uniform is really really cool. maybe

it is that it is so taboo?

 

maybe I'm just a wierdo.

upon further examination I see that the waffen ss does not bear the arm band

 

Is that who was portrayed in the Movie?
