There Will Be Blood, a turkey to rival Heaven's Gate.

Heaven's Gate is widely recognized as the WORST "big budget" film in history. well I watched this Daniel Day-Lewis slow moving disaster There Will Be Blood last night and I couldn't BELIEVE it was SO BORINGLY BAD. the script SUCKED, the acting SUCKED, the characters SUCKED. it's a definate rival to Heaven's Gate and ALMOST as LONG.

 

having seen Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York, I kept watching waiting for some ACTION or at least maybe a twist in the plotline BUT it just NEVER happened. I just thank God I didn't pay any money to watch this turkey that couldn't fly

 

I just kept waiting for SOMETHING to happen but it NEVER DID. VERY similar to HG in being completely convoluted. no wonder there weren't any other name actors besides Daniel Day

Well, there is no accounting for taste, I thought it was one of the best movies I have seen.  I don't see how you didn't like it.

btw, I though that Denzel Washington's The Great Debaters was one of the best movies I have ever seen and should have been up for an Oscar last year (it was a Golden Globe nominee) BUT it really didn't do that well at the box office.

there isn't a movie more polarizing views... half the people i talk to absolutely hated it and the other half lvoed it

Loved this movie. DD Lewis owns the screen. I'm sorry it didn't have the mindless car crashes and witless banter of most of the shit coming out of Hollywood these days.

 

It is a story of greed and capitalism vs religion.

Also, to compare this to Heavens Gate is so unjustified it doesn't deserve comment...but I will anyway.
