An outstanding Modern Western starring Guy Pearce. An Independent film shown occasionally on the IFC.

The combination of the setting (1880's Australian Outback) and a chillingly dark yet great soundtrack makes this easily one of the best films I've seen in some time. I can't say enough about the soundtrack. It fits perfectly with the story and setting.  Its a VERY DARK film, and thats just the way a western should be. Best Western I've seen since The Unforgiven.

A trailer for it.

Also, legendary Englishman John Hurt has role in this movie. Wow is all I gotta say. Link below to a monologue of his in the movie...all I gotta say is ......

If you like westerns you will love this movie.  GUARANTEED!
