Holy shit is this one bizarre but that's typical of PTA movies. Overall the movie was so-so but I will probably give it a second chance one it comes out on DVD, maybe it's one of those movies you have to watch a few times to get it. Joaquin Phoenix is fantastic in this movie as an aimless and psychotic individual who comes back from WWII, Philip Seymour Hoffman also does a great job in this one as the creator of a cult who brings him in as his protege. Like I said, I am not sure how I feel about this movie and will give it a second chance but Phoenix and Seymour-Hoffman provide some fantastic acting in this one.
