Jimmy the greek was a decent HUMANIZING short story.

It was a very good story

Made me wanna head to the track and put down some $$$

it was really good

 

i'm sure as sports bettors we got more out of it then a typical sports fan watching espn

but it was solid tv for sure

These ESPN documentaries in general are really well done. The Len Bias one was pretty heavy.

 

 

I thought the one on Bias was so-so, but the others have been great. 

You really have to feel for Jimmy, when you look around and see there has been one white guy in the top-5 NFL rushers over the past 35 years (Riggins, I think).  Yeah, he said some stupid stuff, but I'm not sure it had to end his career.  Oh well.

thats whats happened over the years, everyone has to be so damn politically correct and make sure they are not offending anyone even if they say things that were not meant to be offensive...we have to walk on egg shells now in corporate america, its pathetic, i have watched sexual harassment videos every year at work because its mandated and its not just about sex, its about anything that may make someone feel uncomfortable...sad
