here is your chance to compare the 2009 Swedish version of The Girl with Dragon Tatto with Michael Nyqvist as Blomkvist and Noomi Rapace as "The Girl" Lisbeth and the 2011 American remake with Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara in those rolls. personnally think the Swedish is MUCH better acted although the subtitles are somewhat a pain BUT you can decide for yourself.

Swedish version plays on the Sundance channel Thursday June 13th @ 2:45 pm and 11:30 pm pacific. unfortunately they are NOT airing the whole three part "Millenium trilogy" like last week, just Dragon Tatto.

American version plays on Starz-Edge channel Monday June 17th @ 6:35 pm pacific

I watched the Swedish version, then caught the American version on Starz.

Both were highly overrated. Have no interest in watching any sequels of either version.

thought BOTH the Swedish The Girl Who Played with Fire AND The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest were much more "fast paced" than The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Hornet's Nest esp had a pretty cool ending

Both sequels were a money grab but I happen to see the Swedish version on DVD and thought it was the better version of TGwtDT.
