I'm a sucker and always love boxing movies,
...but I could have done without the 33% of the flick if not more why "crack is bad". Christian bale's character ruined that movie with the "drugs are bad" theme"..... Really??? wow...
If you don't know that by now, shoot yourself, and save the smarter part of society a lot of money.

The boxing choreographics with Whalberg, I thought were very well done, so if you like boxing flicks, just watch it.
Bale's weight loss was an overkill for hios characyer and way unnecassary IMO

i thought the boxing was weak...and now that i think about it, the movie wasnt just about wahlberg's character (mickey) but also bale's...both were the fighter! 3 out of 5 stars...bale was great as usual, but the movie was pretty much lacking..trying to paint mickey as some kind of king Aurthur and shit...granted his fmaily was white trash but he wasnt to much better...btw, I to knocked down sugar ray Leonard...techincalyy he was picking up his car keys and i pushed him over, then ran..hey, a win is a win!
