The Boy in The Striped Pajamas

Only actor of noet is Vera Farmiga but the 2 young boys in the movie do a terrific/beautiful job. If you can get past the fact their arent many German accents in the movie. I thought this movie was outstanding, heartwrenching...all that shit

I have that one on my disk, i will try and watch it soon.

Good movie, very moving and the end.. oh boy.
I think the most interesting part was to witness the mothers breakdown throughout the movie.

Boo!  I was disappointed by this movie. I expected more after the love fest of this thread. This reminded me of a mystery science theater 3000 movie. Why was that little kid able to hang out in the same spot every day and loaf around in the camp? There were no little kids that lasted more than a day at Auschwitz.

because it was in the script ?

I know it was in the script but from the shot of the "farm" looking out of the house's window in the beginning and the scene at the end with the gas chamber they were clearly trying to make this camp out to be Auschwitz. Anybody that knows the story of Auschwitz knows kids didn't last a day there. It was mainly a work and extermination camp and if you couldn't work you were immediately gassed (women and children first). If you have netflix watch Auschwitz: Inside The Nazi State. Great BBC documentary.

I guess they took liberties, obviously, no one had a German accent.

I still liked the movie.

Almost all the KZ camps has gas chambers.
