Tough to put 'favorite' on the header because it seems impossible to land on one. Steve is flat out amazing. Some I haven't seen so possibly I (we) get a tip or two.

The Shining...Green Mile I think are the only ones that I like personally.  Secret Window was terrible...I didn't like Thinner either...have not seen Night Flyer though!

I like his books better than most of the movies.  A lot of them didn't translate well on screen.  With that said, I like

Misery and the Shining.  And of course Shawshank Redemption, one of the best of all time.

Embarrassingly I forgot Shawshank too, That's probably his greatest masterpiece.

"Stand by Me" and "Shawshank Redemption" are the two best novel to screen adaptations.

Of course the books are more better than the movies, but these are the best made out of them books.  Exept Maximum Overdrive wich I don't remember any book......

I'm pretty sure "Maximum Overdrive" was a short story because I remember reading it.

The "Shining" is one of my all-time favorite movies, but it differs from the book quite a bit from what a recall.  Great movie, though!

Shawshank#1, Misery#2..................not straight out horror,
 
but Shawshank was a masterpiece, with great acting by Freeman, and Robbins....................

Agree with most of the ones mentioned here but haven't seen It or The Mist.
 
Storm of the Century tv series was pretty good.
The Stand tv series was a disgrace.
Needful Things was dreadful.

Sleepwalkers was atrocious.

Storm of the Century was pretty good I enjoyed watching that when I was younger.  Shining is scary is prob. the best.  1408 is an OK one.
