good movie but hardly had me jumping out of my seat or had memorable scenes I was quoting after it ended.

in my opinion, it only got the acclaim it did because of the phenomenon that is facebook, if the subject matter was say, solar power but with the same actors, this wouldn't have got a single oscar nomination

I would assume it was very highly rated, since it was nominated for an Oscar and I believe it was winning awards at the other lower end award shows.

I didn't think it was an amazing movie and I had zero interest in watching until I kept hearing from everyone how great the movie was so I watched it and to me it was just another movie.

Disagree. I thought it was brilliantly made. Probably a little too dark for some tastes.

I thought it was great, during the movie I thought that the music was a big part of that, turns out that Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails fame) won the Oscar for musical score for the movie.

Overall I think that Fincher is one of the greatest directors of our time, and blows overrated blockbuster guys like James Cameron out of the friggin water.

Reznor is a fucking genius. Did ya know they're in the early stages of turning Year Zero into an extended min-series on HBO?

The movie was very interesting, prior to viewing the film I had little to no information about facebook. However, Jesse Eisenberg really came out of his normal wanna be Michael Cera shell and put on a stellar proformance. I will say that Eisenberg was totally convincing in the role, and that Fincher's directing (combined with Trent Reznor's score) made it a pleasant viewing experience.
