Scary Movies

What are everyone's favorite scary movies? Looking to do a bit of a halloween/scary movie marathon this weekend and looking for suggestions, in particular some of the classics.

You have the right idea.

There are multiple channels having horror movie marathons leading up to All Hallows’ Eve but they are all edited to hell.

It’s kind of like having a porn marathon with all nudity blurred out.

Watched The Thing last night on Encore. Special Effects were pretty good back in '82

I think the special effects in that movie look a lot better than some of the shitty CGI that’s in movies nowadays.

The 1982 version was actually a remake of ‘The Thing From Another World’ circa 1951.

The original was actually pretty good considering it was made 60 years ago.  If you liked the 1982 version you should check it out.

If I really want to post something political I’ll post in the GD.  It’s nice to get some different people chiming in rather than the same 10 guys going back and forth year after year.

Just watched a movie. It was a low budget flick, but I have to say it was really good. Must watch.

 

The Last exorcism, released in 2010. Very Very good for a B type movie.

I love the classics that we have all seen the most but I will touch on a couple of the newer future classics that I hope everybody has seen but not sure, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT -best vampire movie ever period, THE HILLS HAVE EYES(2006 VERSION), no one mention my favorite's that included my man JASON VOORHEES, no one was ever better at fucking someone up than the man from camp crystal lake.

I think the best way to judge a scary movie is ....Which situation would you least like to be in.

A shotgun blast or axe to the head is quick and relatively painless.......

But I would like to avoid dying like they did in the movies ;

the situation that I would least like to be in is the movie OPEN WATER, 

Yeah I remember that movie ....It would be a mind blower.

Figuring that the boat had to come back at some point and being with your new wife would stop you from just drowning yourself before these guys came for dinner.
