RIP Eli Wallach aka Tuco

98 years old (good long life ) best known for Tuco in The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

one of the GREAT character actors of the 20th Century. besides Tuco in The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (1966), the bandit leader Calvera in The Magnificent Seven (1960), Platoon Sergeant Craig in The Victors (1963) and Don Altobello in The Godfather Part III were all personal favorites of mine

RIP Maestro Eli

Don Altobello

almost forgot his roll as WWII veteran Sam Abrams in the 1992 film about the scamming of Vets out of the care they are intitled to in the VA hospital system Article 99 with Kiefer Sutherland, Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker, John C. McGinley and Keith David. definately a well acted under-rated drama worth watching. I rate it

Long life. Solid career.

I was hoping he was going to make it to 100 but 98 is very impressive.  I watched that movie the Deep a few days ago and Eli was in that.  That movie was back in 1977 I think.  So Eli was in his 60s when he made that movie.  Wow, what a great career and a great life.

RIP.  One of the best.
