review: What Dreams May Come

Do you like to be told how to feel while you’re watching a movie? If so, here’s yet another one for you! Just short of subtitles telling you what to feel and when, this film is so obvious in its audience manipulation that it feels like a stripper saying “I Love You” and expecting you to believe it. Much like the stripper, this film is after your money, not your true affection. It is a shame, because some rather interesting visual effects and artistic talents are wasted on this melodramatic nightmare. It is almost, and I mean almost, worth seeing just for some of the captivating and original imagery. However, with an obvious and cheap storyline carried by actors and actresses basically sleepwalking their way through the script, the redeeming visuals are buried in a quagmire of sap.

the trailor to this movie was fantastic.....the movie unfortunately fell short. I think this movie could have been amazing. I still enjoyed the film b/c it made you think....but it left alot to be desired.

 

 

I loved this flick. Thought R.Williams waas great in it.

 

Agreed that Cuba wasn't very good at it, but the story and everything else made it get past it.

 

Not anymore, but Anabella Sciorra used to be really gorgeous IMO.
