The Omega Man

(One out of Five Stars)

This film is based upon one of the GREAT horror novels of all time. I AM LEGEND is a deep, yet scary novel that would translate perfectly to film. Unfortunately, this film fails to do so. The "vampires" are laughable and posses none of the mystique of the novel and all of the depth of Matheson's brilliant piece of artwork is lost in this poorly adapted mess. Read the book, avoid the film.
