Snatch
(Four out of Five Stars)
This is a fast paced enjoyable and stylish flick which relies heavily on its brilliant characters and the first-rate actors who pull it off. Guy Ritchie is, in my opinion, a smart filmmaker. He understands storytelling more than most and the result, in this case, is a movie that is gripping as you would expect, and yet surprises with its brilliant wit and inspired style. I recommend this and any other of Ritchie’s works. I found myself laughing out loud several times at some smart comedy smack dab in the center of an action packed scene. Good stuff from the school of Scorsese, but with its own twist.
