SPOILER....DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE

first off, fantastic film.  One of the best in the last few years.  I just wasnt a fan of the ferry situation.  it is human nature to survive, so somebody on one of the ferrys would have forced his or herself to the control and hit the button.  the great thing about the film is that it takes a superhero setting and makes a movie that would work pefectly as a crime thriller..  I just thought it ruined a bit of the realness of the film when not one person was selifsh enough to hit the button.  Anyone agree or disagree?

well I think your probably right.....but they were trying to show that the city had hope....and that everyone could come together to overcome the chaos that had become Gotham City

that was the whole theme of the movie

gotta suspend reality sometimes with these films

Young One, the whole film did seem pretty real until they did that. LOL
    I couldn't resist....sorry........

I finally saw it last night. Thought it was really well done. Heath Ledger was great in it, and no one has ever pulled off a villain in that genre better.......

Great movie ....But my one problem is do you really think this was a PG 13 type movie? Don't get me wrong I know why they wanted that over an R rating, but seems to me some of the content was a little intense for some youngsters.

I was finally relieved that someone took the remote and threw it in the water. I kept saying to myself why doesn't someone do that. Then when the big "come here little boy. ya got a nice ass" prisoner threw it in the water his line was " I'm gonna do what you should have done fifteen minutes ago."

Also, Did anyone see the blooper. During the fundraiser party Bruce Wayne steps out on the balcony and throws is drink over the side of the building. Then when his love interest if finished talking to him and the scene pans out he has a drink half full. The glass should of been empy.

Disagree.  I think if both parties believed it was too unreal to be happening, that neither would have pushed the button.  It was such a surreal situation, although real to be sure, that I don't think anyone would have pushed the button.

If one boat thought if we don't push it......then they might assume the other boat would think the same as well.

first off, fantastic film.

Disagree.  I think if both parties believed it was too unreal to be happening, that neither would have pushed the button.  It was such a surreal situation, although real to be sure, that I don't think anyone would have pushed the button.

If one boat thought if we don't push it......then they might assume the other boat would think the same as well.

They wanted to push the button, but in the end, they couldn't live with actually pushing the button.  Could you live, knowing you killed a boat load of people?

Batman's voice was the worst part.

Let an asian director lead this movie and lots of those innocent people would've been dead. Or shown dying, rather.

No one really dies in "American" "Hollywood" movies.

    Want to see the difference?

Watch Hard Boiled with Chow Yun Fat and then watch any of the Die Hard series.

Difference: innocent people die in the line of fire in Hard Boiled and there is no real tragedy in "Hollywood" action movies.

Yeah, people died in the Dark Knight. I know. It was quaintly tragic; judge's car blowing up, her husband poisoned.

I got somewhat bored with the movie. The first one was much better. With that said, i can't wait for the 3rd one.

Surreal? WTF?! Wow. Thats a whole new can of worms.

My wife said to me during the ferry scene "I bet the remote actually detonates their own ferry."  That would totally be a Joker twist.  Guess we will never know.

I was a little worried that throwing the remote into the water may detonate the bomb.  I mean, it could be really sensitive!

    I thought the same thing.

The only part I thought was really silly about this movie was batmans voice. Terribly overdone. but the joker more than made up for it.

The only problem I had with his voice was when he was talking to people that knew he was Bruce Wayne.  I mean, no need to disguise your voice then.  Like when he was talking to Fox.  Not necessary.

And I guess at the end it was a little much when talking to the Joker but I guess if he was really enraged its no big deal.

Awsome movie. I couldnt Believe Debo through the denator off the boat I was shocked. The Joker was badass. I love the first part where he has each guy kill the next, and When he makes the pencil disappear. That was classic.

The only thing that was missing to me was the jokers flower on his suit. That has always been there. I know it shoots like acid or something but I think you should have had it.

I just thought it ruined a bit of the realness of the film

A guy flying around in a Batsuit fighting a Joker was realistic though

    Great movie though

I had to try 3 times to finish this.  What a disaster of a flick.  It started out so strong, too.  I could have done without the Harvey Dent two face shit entirely.  OOOOHhhhhh so crazy he flips coins and shoots people.  What an insane concept.  I will watch this again sober and then I am gonna watch this high over the next couple months and see if my thoughts change. Doubt it.
