just saw "The Brave One" on HBO staring Jodie Foster. my previous fav was the obvious "Silence of the Lambs" BUT in this flick she's plays a character like Charles Bronson's "Paul Kersey" in the "Death Wish" series of vigilante movies from the mid 1970's.
GREAT FLIK worth watching. it's on HBO the next week.

only thing I am wondering is what happened when she killed the gangster in the car lot? he hits her in the arm with that tire iron but she comes back with a punch to the nose. next scene the cops are investigating his dead ass on the street. seemed like they cut something to keep from getting an X (or whatever it is now) rating for the old "Ultraviolent" ala A "Clockwork Orange".
That scene on the train was awesome.
whole premise of the film was great. first time she blows away a bad guy, she's scared to death but doesn't hesitate. more confident when she plugs the two punks on the train and once again doesn't screw around.
I just HATE movies like the last Bruce Willis "Die Hard" where he coldcocks some bad guy (or in that case , bad girl) BUT doesn't make sure the are dead and they come back at him later. that's just NOT real world.
