Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Ok so this movie comes out in a couple of days....

 

Anyone planning on checking it out this weekend?

 

I will probably go Friday and I'll post a review after I see it...

 

It debuted at Cannes a couple of days ago and got mixed reviews so we will see....

 

 

 

Indiana Jones and the Crystals in his gall bladder

so I went to check out the movie this afternoon with a friend...

 

they made a few jokes about Indiana's age of course....

 

and there was some good action scenes....

 

but the plot was WEAK...I mean very weak....borderline bad

 

 

I guess overall I was somewhat entertained and Harrison Ford is still very good in this role (saved the movie really) but at the mid-point of the movie I almost fell asleep it got so boring.....the parts of the movie in between the action was really really slow

 

 

so to sum it up I say wait for the rental.....it was not really worth going to see it in the theaters

really...well I might just do that.

I watched it last night on my computer. I agree with Weathered, wait until it comes out on DVD, or watch it online. To be honest, they never should have made this movie.  

went and saw the movie last night, wasn't very good imo...I agree story line was real weak, stunts were kinda stupid and overall the movie just idk wasn't enjoyable lol...

omg...terrible. i could not believe i was watching this washed up old actor reincarnate himself with this driville.

It was OK.  My 6 year old is in a huge Indy phase right now so he loved it.

 

Ahhhhh.  The power of marketing.  I think he and I will get more out of the Indy Legos than we did the movie.

 

I was entertained but agree that this is not a must see.  Waiting for the DVD is not a wrong move.

I was deffinatly entertained and I guess thats all you can ask for but for those of us who grew up with Indy it was for sure a dissappointment.  The dialogue sucked, the action sequences were WAYYYY over the top and too unbelievable and I dont know if it was just me but the movie seemed to just cut to the next scene, it was poorly put together.  I cant believe they waited this long and ended up making this movie.

 

Worth watching for those Indy fans but prepare to be dissappointed

I was entertained, that's all I was expecting from this movie though.  I surely wasn't expecting Raiders of the Lost Ark again.

I personally thought this was easily the best of all the Indiana Jones movies, maybe because I liked the supporting acting by Shia LaBeouf.  This is a must see for true diehard Indiana Jones fans, and also for anyone who likes action with some comedy.  Great movie...probablly the best of the year! 

I saw it at the show this week... very disappointed. Not good, wait until it is on video to save yourself a few bucks.

It was worth the theather money... thats about it.,

I finally saw it yesterday.

 

I fell asleep in the 1st hour. Harrison Ford is too old, story was ridiculous.

 

There was a UFO and aliens in it. A really, really bad movie.

Agree with the bad reviews.  As movies go it was OK at best;  as Indiana Jones movies go, it was easily the worst installment.  I understand George Lucas had a big hand in the aliens theme and originally wanted it to be a campy movie along the lines of "Indiana Jones and the Aliens from Mars".

 

I was also surprised at how ineffective Ford was.  He was very stiff, not the comical wisecracking Jones we are used to.  I guess he was trying to play an aged Jones but he really turned in a sour performance.
