How bout some great actors that have gone unsung.

Top of my head....

*********Jeff Bridges (One of the best ever imo)

Kurt Russell (amazing pass on this guy)

John Voit

Eric Roberts. (although he hasn't worked in a long time)

Gene Hackmen

Alec Baldwin

William Dafoe

Ray Leota

William Hurt

Morgan Freeman

Dennis Hopper.

.....goes on and on.

Tom Cruise.

Hated by Hollywood.....so is Val Kilmer.. they'll never get an award.

Philip Symour Hoffman. Real tough to be around a set so I understand)

How can you say that some of these guys are unsung?  Hackman for example has won two Oscars.

I do think that Will Smith is unsung.  Not that I am a huge Will Smith fan but look where this guy started out.  Fresh Prince of Belair with no acting background and has done some great work in the last decade.  Ali, I am Legend, Seven Pounds, Pursuit of Happiness.

Gary Oldman - one of my favorites who I haven't heard from in a long time.

Anthony Hopkins - (excuse me, Sir Anthony Hopkins ) always loved his work. I''ll watch anything he's in even what most might think is boring like The Remains of the Day.

Anthony Hopkins - "Fractured" his best villian since Lechter. GREAT mystery
