Recently i have started to dig a little more into George Harrisons music, as he obviously was very underrated as a songwriter in The Beatles.

Also check out I, me, Mine. It was right at the break up.
Also listen and catch the video for "When we were fab" You have to watch the video close, you can see tons of reference in it. You see John and Ringo........and I believe Elton.
All things must pass is an incredible song.

The best Beatles song is a George Harrison song - Something. Also, one of the great guitar solos in "Let it Be"
Not only do they use Hare Krishna (more Hindu) in "My Sweet Lord", they also chant Christian ones
It shows the quality of man that he was that his best friend pours his heart out about Harrisons wife in another classic song, she leaves him for Clapton, yet he forgives them both and they remained close friends
I remember reading an interview just after he died and it was done with Phil Spector around the time of "All things must pass". He says it shows the domineering effect Lennon and McCartney had (Lennon esp) over the other 2 that Harrison couldn't flourish. He had so much great material and he was only allowed to put forward some material had the Lennon/McCartney stuff not developed up to their standards.
Not sure how true it is, but Spector was in the booth, not me

hari krishna, hari rama is Indian language, remember.
its like if an American religious cult was called have a good day - just because someone had the line have a good day in a song that was about God, doesnt mean it has anything to do with that particular cult.

Crackerbox Palace I remember as being pretty good. Downloading it on Limewire as I type this. Haven't heard it in a very long while. As in, back when they played it on the radio.
