I like war movies that are squared up.. Takes a lot to get me in there at those prices.
Thin Red Line was the last and best war flick ever made.
Fury worth the 12 bucks on the big tv?

REALLY? SO many GREAT war movies over the years. All Quiet on the Western Front BOTH the 1930 original AND 1979 remake, Patton (1970), Platoon (1986). Apocalypse Now (1979) and the even better 2001 Redux "directors cut", AND one of my personal favorites from when I was a kid in the 1950's Task Force (1949) which is the history of Naval Aviation from it's beginning thru WWII. throw in others like Full Metal Jacket (1987) and the lesser known but still excellent The Boys in Company C (1978) along with We Were Soldiers (2002) and Fury will have to go some to be better

agree 100%. also the relatively unknown 'The Boys in Company C'
'All Quiet on the Western Front' still THE classic "the horrors of war" movie. surprisingly enough, I think the 1979 made for TV version with Richard Thomas as Paul Baumer, Ernest Borgnine as "Kat" Katczinsky and Ian Holm as Himmelstoss may even be MORE powerful than the 1930 original with Lew Ayres, Louis Wolheim and John Wray in those rolls

Not a top three? Sorry to disagree strongly...I saw it today and it MIGHT BE the best movie I have ever seen overall....
Acting: wonderful cast ( except for the lame excuse for a field commander).. All the main characters were great.
Battle scenes: Never have seen more realism than this movie portrays. War is hell and this director puts you on the edge of your seat for the engagemetnt scenes...When the Germans fire their 88's at our boys you can almost feel like what real combat is all about.
Script: A few slight misses here and there but overall, good.
Good acting...good realistic battle scenes...Plot exceptional and believable until the last 15 minutes...Overall, a not to be missed movie experience like no other ever done...I give it a 9.5....The highest score I have ever given any movie.
