I NEVER bought into that "lone gunman" baloney. you just have to watch the Abraham Zapruder home movie to know the fatal shot came from the front. also the limo windshield had a bullet hole in it that was obviously fired from the front.
Lee Harvey Oswald was probably involved in the plot BUT there was a least one other shooter on the "grassy knoll" or in a storm drain. Jack Ruby shot Oswald to silence him

National Geographic Channel has Killing Kennedy based on the Bill O’Reilly / Martin Dugard book Sunday Nov 10th. NOT a big O’Reilly fan BUT I understand this book, along with he and Dugard's Killing Lincoln are pretty good. Rob Lowe plays JFK and I will be interested to see how he compares to William Devane's portrayal of the man in the 1974 The Missiles of October which is STILL pretty much the "gold standard" of actors playing Kennedy

If you are aware of the crime scene, the political climate and the history prior to JFK assassination, it is exceedingly obvious that the some CIA directly or indirectly orchestrated the assassination. People who know nothing will look at you like you're crazy. Crazy is knowing what the hell is going on.

well I was a high school then college kid during his time in office. thank God he was President during the Cuban Missile Crisis instead of some crazy "hawk" like Richard Nixon or the world might have gone up in flames. for handling that situation the way he did, I respect the man

Wow Rat you are a older. Older's are older than me. The important word is "SPRY" at our age!!
I was 12 and lived in Oak Cliff where Oswald lived and Tippet was shot and the Texas Theater was a Saturday magnet for all of us. All that isn't special. Dallas took a hit for a while and maybe still does to some.
In high school I hung out with Allen Tipett. Nice guy and very wild. We got stopped by the cops more than once and they never messed with us much. Allen and I never mentioned his father . Never

that is some "living history", Pecador
recorded them watched The Lost Bullet (1 hour), The Lost JFK Tapes (2 hour) and JFK: The Final Hours (2 hours) on National Geographic.
The Lost Bullet was interesting and goes a long way to refute a LOT of "conspiracy theories" about the shooting but STILL doesn't explain WHY JFK's head exploded like he was shot from the front on the Zapruder film 
The Lost JFK Tapes was just a re-hash of news reports from those two days. can NOT believe there as a Dallas TV reporter that kept calling Oswald "Lee Harold Oswald". hopefully that idiot NEVER worked in TV AGAIN. 
Final Hours was about his meetings and speechs that day just prior to the assassination. was rather boring

No kidding? I had no idea that happened. Its been quite a few years since I've seen it. Thanks for the info. Now I'll have to figure out where I can buy the last 3 episodes.

went into watching it VERY skeptical because of negative reviews BUT though Rob Lowe was pretty good as JFK and Will Rothhaar was excellent as Lee Harvey Oswald. Ginnifer Goodwin was pretty lame as Jacqueline Kennedy but Michelle Trachtenberg was excellent as Marina Oswald. movie was as much about the Oswald's home life as about the Kennedy's. had a LOT of info about pre-assassination Lee Harvey Oswald that I was unaware of.
