Not sure I totally understand what you are looking for, but I saw a great Motley Crue concert on HD Net tv one night, just can't remember where it was from.

Concert DVD's...........live performances that are recorded well, both audio & video. The Eagles dvd I noted above is the best I've seen............5.1 audio, excellent picture clarity, & great camera work. OTOH, I have "Paul McCartney: Back in the U.S." & "The Who: Live in Boston" that are awful in most respects. If you have a good home theatre, concert DVD's (good ones) are very cool. I'm hoping to see a new Roger Waters DVD from this latest tour come out some time next year. They had a lot of cameras @ both shows (all HD cameras) & the shows were done in surround sound. It should be fantastic.

I have the DVD for Springsteen's Live In Dublin. That's a great concert that was filmed in HD. It definitely meets your great audio/visual requirement.
The Rolling Stones have a new DVD out: A Bigger Bang. I've heard great things about the concert. It's from a show they did in Rio, so I'm guessing you'll get a couple good moments of 100,000 sweaty Brazilians jumping up and down going "Ole! Ole! Ole!" I haven't seen it, so I don't know about the quality...
