Haven't seen it yet but if someone has let us know if it is worth the time. I see the critics have blasted it which probably means I will like it. Big fan of the original.
Also did you know that Jeff Goldblum was one of the bad guys in the original.
Larry Fishburne was a bad guy in Death Wish 2.

BIG fan of the first two with Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey and Vincent Gardenia as NYPD Lt. Frank Ochoa. three was "OK" while four pretty much "jumped the shark". be interesting to see how Bruce Willis as now "Dr. Paul Kersey" does in this remake
Rotten Tomatoes gives it only a 15% "fresh" BUT I have learned their ratings are NOT the "end all" for a movie. hell they gave the mindless car chase "action" movie Baby Driver a 93% fresh and I thought it as average for an action move at best

Agree LRR - just saw it this evening. It's quite straightforward, I liked it. Willis looks old which is a bummer.
Rotten Tomatoes has disappointed me lately, I believe you have to love video games to like most the movies that come out lately. Wonder Woman? Please. Thor - no thanks. I'm done with those type of movies.
Absolutely loved Bronson/Vinny G in the original. "You gotta a good look at him didn't ya? Yes you did, your full of sh*t"... Bronson was the best in this role.

I think it was a good enough movie to watch one evening for a quiet night at home or a rainy day. Willis does a good enough job to make it worth the watch. But by no means is it as good as the original.
