The Crime Inc show last night highlighted a pretty lucrative scam in China.  A Chinese business was making a sneaker brand New Barlun. It was trying to rip off New Balance.  It even had the same 'N' logo but slightly altered.  It looked like New Balance and sounded like New Balance but it wasn't.  New Barlun had billboard advertising and they even opened up an outlet store. It was really sophisticated. They got caught when a New Balance employee traveling to China saw the billboard ad. The case lasted almost a decade and they charged them with something other than counterfeiting. It wasn't even a scam, it was pretty legit.  The other scam was the drug making scam.  If you buy viagra online it's most likely a fake.
