ENCORE has been running the 1980 mini-series Shogun with Richard Chamberlain, John Rhys-Davies and Toshiro Mifune this week with a non-stop marathon of all 6 episodes Saturday September 22nd

worth recording IF you into Japanese culture (or just foxy Japanese women)

I sure wish ENCORE or one of the other movie channels would show the 1978-79 mini-series Centennial which I think was the BEST of the semi-historic shows from back then after Roots

Great great series. I rewatched it a couple of years back. Loved it.

Some of the other James Clavall books that have been televized are also very good.

Tai-Pan ... and Noble House.
