Very good movie, Spike Lee's best movie since Do the Right Thing. May pull surprise Best Adapted Screen Play nomination. Comedy with serious theme.

Really? It got terrible reviews from critics.
I never really enjoyed any of Lee's movies. He's always struck me as no-talented director, writer and producer. He comes across as a racist @sshole who blames Whitey on most of crimes against American blacks. He tried to make Tarantino look like a racist after Showtime picked up the Django Unchained movie rights.

Critics are raving about it, 78 Metascore... https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4594834/criticreviews?ref_=tt_ov_rt
Do the Right Thing is an absolute classic to me. Besides that, I like Clockers, Inside Man. He made tons of money for Nike with his Jordan commercials.
I do agree that he's biased sometimes, he railed that The Hurricane was directed by a white person. Kind of hypocritical that he complained QT uses to much N-word in his movies.
