Can't believe it..."Bad Lieutenent" remake

I just read in Friday's Life section that Nick Cage is playing Harvey Kietel's original character, but location in this one is New Orleans.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1095217/

Can't believe this is the first that I've heard about it.

I'll go see it, but it does say select cities.....so don't know if it's here or not.

just saw it tonite..

decent flick.. I saw the original too..

kinda depressing .. cage, vla kilmer , eva mendes and some rapper are in it ..

Umgmu, Eva is pretty smokin.

Critics were kind to it both in USA Today and om Internet Movie Data Base. IMDB gave it a 7.8.

USA paper indicated that his behavior was almost exactly like Kietel's, but obviously different in plot and other ways set up in New Orleans. Does that ring true?

Yup- it rings true .. check it out ..
