anyone watched deadwood or rome?

heard that these are great shows, but they were both canceled. Are they worth watching, or is it just a waste of time since they were canceled?

They are awesome

The Tudors, Rome, Deadwood are all most see in my opinion.

I think Rome was canceled because it cost a lot of money to produce.

I've said it before...Deadwood is the best series I have ever seen on TV.

Loved Rome also.

Well worth your time...enjoy

"Deadwood" was fantastic.  Well worth taking the time to watch the three seasons.  Never understood why HBO did not pick up the cast options for the actors allowing them to work on other projects and killing "Deadwood."  I remember when this happened the writer said he would not write a 4th season without the entire cast he had for the previous three and because of this the fans were never given complete closure.  The writer said he tried pitching two 2-hour made for TV movies, rather than the short season HBO wanted, to wrap up everything but apparently HBO was not interested in this.  Sad because it was one of the best shows ever to hit television.

yeah instead we got John from Cincinnati

thanks for everyone's response...think ill check out deadwood hopefully doesn't disappoint

Deadwood is definitely one of the best short lived series ever! Damn Milch was so intent on creating that John from Cincy mess that he let this great show die

as long as you don't mind cursing, Deadwood is awesome. If you were looking for a drinking game, drink everytime you here the word "fuck" in Deadwood and you would be lucky to see the end of the show. Still very, very good imo.
