anyone watch "The Blacklist" on NBC?

really had high hopes for this new crime drama with James Spader, who is one of my favorite actors, BUT it looked like a thinly veiled "Silence of the Lambs" ripoff with Spader as the "Dr. Hannibal Lecter" type character to Megan Boone's "Clarice Starling".

WAS, however, a fairly interesting plot in the premier and had some excellent action SO I will watch again next Monday

haven't watched it yet, but it's on the DVR. Yeah the ads make it look like silence of the lambs in a way, but reminds me more of like a 24 type of show.

The premise is fantastic.  I enjoyed the pilot.  Looking forward to it.

I liked parts of it, and i hated parts of it. Jury is still out

It's the only new show I did watch and wasn't fond of it but it's hard to get a feel for any show based on the pilot. It was all over the place as they tried to get the characters developed.  I tell you one thing. Whoever that lead actress is was boring. I'll give it 1 more week but not optimistic.  Mundane so far.    GL,   Doc

Love Spader too.  Very talented actor.  The show has yet to hold my attention very long.  You know a good show when you cannot multitask during it.  Not the case here.

Yeh,  there is something about Spader that makes him watchable.

 Saw the 1st show........missed the last one. I'm a big Spader fan too.......he plays a great assshole.

You nailed it about Spader... he is perfect as the behind personified. Totally despicable.  Rink Rat compares him to Hannibal Lecter.

hate to say it BUT they have just about lost me. ONLY redemption is Spader  the basic plot SHOULD be excellent BUT the last two episodes were tripe

i think it's decent. like the new show "hostages" better

Btw can recommend Peaky Blinders .. 1 season just aired in UK, great great show.

Yeah they already commissioned a second season of the show over in the UK.

 If I didn't like Spader I wouldn't watch another episode............still not sure how many more I'll watch.

Ya, James Spader the ONLY thing close to saving this mess right now and even HIS character is freeking goofy

Yeh , Rat  it looks dim.  Spader is weak with this weak writing.  Maybe he wasn't that good tostart?

I loved the last episode.  I like where this is headed.  Spader is great.
