Anyone remember "The Event"

2 years ago i believe this show was on NBC, probably one of my favorite shows of all time behind the walking dead but they cancelled it after one season... anyone else wish it was brought back or even seen the show?

I just started watching it on Netflix

Yes.  I loved the show.  The "end" begged for a next season.  Someone needs to pick it up.

Ha. I saw about 5 mins and know the jist.

There was a black president, I think the All-state insurance guy.

An airplane was gonna hit the white house. They were still there for some reason? (I don't get it). Did they have the president's daughter?

Anyways, aliens intervened and then were outed as homosexual aliens or just aliens? I didn't see enough to give an opinion.

I did watch 5 mins so it caught my attention.

NBC is in last for a reason, it's run like shit when it comes to prime time programming decisions.  I watched and enjoyed the first half of the season, then NBC started fucking with when new episodes would be on, it wouldn't be on for 3 weeks, then an episode, then another 3 weeks so you were never sure when this thing was gonna be on next and start losing interest.  Then when they finally said it was cancelled, I didn't really care much what happened after that even though I saw it through to the end.

Not a bad concept, but the acting and the dialogue were so bad.  I'm also not realy sure it was headed anywhere interesting.  Can't say I miss it, and I think I watched every episode. 

Is that the show where the whole world zonked out for like 10 minutes, except some folks were caught on camera up and moving around..someone at a ball game was walking around?

If so it seemed like one of those shows that looked good but you just knew it was going to suck.

Another one of these shows started last night, Evolution, once again on NBC

event was good, also it was Blair Underwood as president, but who's counting.

Didnt watch "The Event", but mostly out of spite after "HEROES" got cancelled, it had a good run though I guess.

Getting into "Revolution" now, seems pretty legit, good story and decent enough acting. Just hoping it doesn't get the NBC 1 and done...
