Watched it last night. Good movie but it was slow. Amy Adams was hot and this movie was full of A list actors/actresses.

Went because the wife wanted to go.
Didnt know Chris Bale played the leading role until the credits at thee end.
Incredible actor. Can gain and lose weight like De Nero.
Would not be surprised if hes on top in a few more years if hes not already. Oh yeah...movie was pretty good to. Little long in the middle but well worth it.
Who played his girlfriend? F!*N NICE

Thought it was entertaining. Liked the plot and the acting was well done, but I didn't feel the 70s theme they went with added anything at all to the movie and thought that part was a miss overall. Can't stand Amy Adams in anything she's in, she just bugs the sh!t out of me for some reason.

Honestly have no idea what all the fuss is about. An interesting story , nothing more that could have been told in far less time.
Agreed 100% I think they could have made it so much better. They needed to bring the mob aspect in earlier and provided that aspect a bigger plot

People are overpraising some of these movies. The bottom line is that Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle were greatly acted movies, but in my opinion, both storylines led a ton to be desired. Both had many flaws. American Hustle was too slow, found the storyline tough to follow, etc. Wolf of Wall Street was too long, too many bullshit scenes, didn't have that interesting of a storyline. It took 3 hours basically to get to the point of him all of a sudden being a motivational speaker or whatever. Just because there's good looking women in it and drugs doesn't automatically make it a good movie, yet tons of people are talking it up. It's good acting. But the storylines in both weren't great by any stretch of the imagination.

exactly...easily could have cut a half hour out of the movie..
I thought a lot of the direction was almost a rip-off of " Goodfellas " with the camera work , editing, and narration

I could not agree more. A movie has missed the mark badly when it can't get you to care at all about any of the characters. Every big name actor in this terrible film dropped down at least one notch in my book.
