action movie: Shoot 'Em Up (2007)

posted this outside the Movie Reviews 2017 thread because NO one seems to be paying attention to THAT

Shoot 'Em Up (2007) short 85 minute action film that REALLY lives up to it's title. this thing has MORE gunfights than any movie I have EVER seen. stars Clive Owen as "the good guy", Paul Giamatti as the bad baztard "bad guy", the beautiful Monica Bellucci (WHAT a SET) as the "hooker with a heart of gold" AND a BABY. basic plot is a drifter, played by Owen, rescues a newborn from being killed by an assassin, played by Giamatti, and his thugs and goes on the run from them. he is helped by a hooker played by Bellucci. this thing is NON-STOP action wirh some of the wildest gunfights I have EVER seen. do NOT blink. you will MISS something. also has a couple crazy "plot twists". VERY surprised the "snooty's" at Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 67% "fresh" rating. this is a MUST SEE for action fans and I was thoroughly entertained throughout. plays again on 5 star-Max Friday May 26th @ 4:00am and Action-Max Sunday may 28th @ 9:15am pacific time. I rate it     of four it is THAT fast paced and entertaining. this would have been rated a "ready room sh!t hot" movie on the aircraft carrier back in the 1960's

Lone Survivor

GOOD movie BUT completely different style of screenplay. fail to see the relevance

MORE similar style to Shoot 'Em Up

Stand Up Guys (2012) "crime-comedy" staring Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin as three old "wise guy" robbers having their last adventure. many VERY funny scenes and a GREAT car chase half way thru. this one also runs a relatively short 95 minutes. has an I think un-deserved 37% "fresh" from Rotten Tomatoes because it IS fast paced with plenty of action. playing on the Sundance channel Sunday July 9th @ 1:00am & 8:00am pacific time. you want to record anyhow because Sundance is over-run with commercials like IFC and FX Movies. I rate it    of four

Shoot 'Em Up on HBO channels again most of next week. HBO-Z Sunday July 9th @ 3:45am. HBO-Signature Tuesday the 11th @ 10:45pm HBO East & West 5:00pm & 8:00pm Thursday the 13th @ and HBO-Z again Friday the 14th @ 8:25pm

I put both in the same category as the Guy Rickie classic "crime-comedy" Snatch (2000)

GREAT MOVIE !....funny as hell too

  * I can (with great confidence ha)....recommend this one to EVERY guy here

Closest I can think of?....maybe HARDBOILED (John Woo > Chow Yun Fat)

Reckon the El Mariachi > Desperado.....movies rank up there too

Love that movie but it seems like there was more to the story. The fighting scenes were amazing and with his fingers broken he was still able to shoot the Gun with Raddish. I mean whaaaaat?
