Been meaning to watch this for a while. The comic it&#x27;s based on by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith is top notch so my expectations were pretty high. I thought this one was of the better movies, particularly of the horror variety, I&#x27;ve seen in a while. Thought it was a good combination of story, gore, and drama that was well acted. I was surprised to see many of the earlier reviews so mixed. Highly recommended.

Great gore and a cool concept, but there were a little too many flaws for me. Like how it went from like day 3 to day 27 with the snap of a finger. Your telling me those vampires just chilled the whole time and didn't turn every single building upside down looking for the last towns people to feed on? Also, the ending sucked dick. Hartnett can inject himself with blood and be a vamp for all of 5 minutes and be able to murder the head vamp who has been a badass for ages? Also, all of the other vamps just watch this happen and then just disappear? Come on.....entertaining movie, but you gotta take it for what its worth and thats not a whole lot.

I understand what you&#x27;re saying but we&#x27;re gonna have to agree to disagree here. Maybe because the comic did a more thorough job explaining some of things you had a problem with allowed me to overlook them. But also, I give a lot more leeway to fantasy, horror, sci-fi movies in this regard. I mean, it&#x27;s a vampire movie. How strictly believable do you expect it to be?

don&#x27;t get me wrong....I liked the movie a lot. I&#x27;ve seen it probably 4-5 times. It scared the shit out of me the first time and I had to watch it again. I just noticed a lot more flaws after the first time that kind of bother me. I&#x27;d recommend it

Flaws in the story line, could have done more with the effect of the days wearing down on the people and the frustration of the vampires setting in.........but overall, a good film and a recommended one for horror fans.

Take it for what it is, good entertainment.
