why are the phillies only -168?

am i missing something, can someone fill me in?  i thought the line would be like -275 so now im concerned its a trap game

Cavalli is well rested and if he only gives up 1 or 2 runs, the game could be close late and decided by the pens. It's worth digging into deeper. 

Not sure why you think the line would be THAT high

Took the Nats ml at +140.

Last time both pitchers faced each other on April 1st, both gave up just 1 earned each.

yeah, idk, i just heard about sanchez being cy young candidate and being lights out and the nats give up a lot of runs.  i didn't realize cavalli was actually good.

i avoided the game, the line didn't look right to me

I got Nats +158 and off to a good start at the sportsbook while also watching soccor on the big screen.

Any pitcher can get a case of dead arm. It's a long season. Wish I were watching to see how he's looking.

He's looking really tall and skinny. Doesn't seem like anything is wrong, it's just that the Nats are hitting his throws. Zero walks but 6 hits, 3 innings.

I was at this sportsbooks last night when Mexico was playing Czech soccor and when Mexico scored 3 goals there was more screaming going on in here than Cinco de Mayo at late night Taco Bell. It was wild I became a fan of Mexico soccor. Viva la Mexico.

This thread was posted yesterday in reference to the Phillies' series finale in Washington, but it could also be re-used for tonight's series opener at Citi Field vs. the dead men walking Mets.

When I noticed last night that the red-hot Phillies were moving on to play the hapless Metzies, the overnight line of Phillies -160 struck me as curiously low given that old reliable Zack Wheeler is going for the Phils. But then I began to wonder......how much emotion are the Phillies going to bring into the start of this series after what they just pulled off in D.C.? Three straight nights of winning 9th inning rallies is absolutely remarkable, and now they're matched up against a lousy team they were pushing around last weekend. I don't see the Phillies being fired up today, and that may be the Mets' chance to compete here and start new interim manager Andy Green's tenure with a badly-needed win.

So who is coach going to put in from Mets pen?  If he put in Williams or Raley, forget about it, Philly bats will knock them silly. 

Yesterday Cavalli did okay, gave up 2 runs. But then the Nats put in their trusty pen, Parker first, he gave up 3 runs, couldn't finish an inning. So Nats put in Varland to save the day, he gave up 5 runs. That's 8 runs from Nats pen, otherwise they had a 5-2 lead. 

Thornton won't go very deep, maybe 4 innings like last game. Mets pen will have a lot of work to do, maybe 5 innings. I think Philly will eat up one of the Mets pen.  I would not bet against Philly today.
