BOS +155
CWS -190
Series price....
I have Bosox taking game 1. I like the way Boston is swinging the bats as of late. Their pitching is giving up runs as well. But after watching Chi-Sox vs Pinstripes series, I’m. It convinced they have what it takes to beat a seasoned pitcher in Pivetta (1.50 ERA in five starts vs White Sox).
Cease has been in great form thus far this season, but has a career 7.30 ERA vs Bosox. If Pivetta has a good start and can go 6+ innings today, I think Boston has the clear advantage. They have the advantage at the plate for sure! Better BA, better OBA, better SLP, more hits and better run support! Gimme the +$ on Boston all day in this spot.

pivetta was getting rocked early on in the season because of walks. L3 games he's given up two earned runs and one walk, and now he starts getting wins. white sox like to swing for the fences resulting last in the league in walks per game. pivetta also has solid numbers against the white sox. with how the red sox bats have been lately, i could see them taking game one. especially with how the white sox pen has been as of late. this is an evenly matched game in my opinion, but because of the starting pitchers, the line might be a little inflated. i could see red sox taking game 1, and as this big of a dog, if i bet this game i would have to go with the plus money.
but i definitely wouldn't lay that much on the series price given the direction the red sox are going. if it was -120 or lower, that would be a different story, but i just don't see value in -190, especially when either velazques or keuchel starts to close out the series

Boston is incredible value at +150, they are absolutely tearing the cover off the ball right now. Cease is a bit inconsistent at times and still walking quite a few. Probably pitching the other 2 games for the White Sox are probably going to Giolito and Kuechel who both struggling in their last outings. Boston pen doing good lately with a 1.93 ERA in the last 5 games. Bottomline Red Sox got in clicking on all cylinders right now, and White Sox still stuck in neutral at the moment.
